OFFER OF ASSISTANCE FROM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN

Mr Patrick Graves, an American citizen who did two tours in Vietnam with 101st Abn Division and who retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the early seventies and now practises law in Alabama, has offered to coordinate efforts in the US in support of the full accounting for our men. He has also been kind enough to offer a monetary contribution of $US 10,000 towards OPERATION AUSSIES HOME on-going costs.

I cannot but resist asking the question again: How patriotic are we compared to our US brothers and sisters?

A POEM BY PETER ROTHWELL

This work was inspired by the events on LZ PRINCESS on 9 November 1965 during Operation HUMP, the day after we lost Parker and Gillson. This will bring back some memories to those who were there. Peter has captured these moments to remind us of the horror and waste of any and all wars. Read Peter's poem here

THE REGIMENTAL PRAYER

This prayer was re-written by Padre John Brownbill and Monsignor Gerry Cudmore in 2000. Father Cudmore served in Vietnam from 26 May 1965 to 30 April 1966. He spent most of his time with the First Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment (1 RAR) at Bien Hoa because we were such nice people - or maybe he thought we needed his service more than others!
